Asphaleia fostering is part of the asphaleia group – an organisation dedicated to impacting the lives of vulnerable children and young people. Our fostering team work together to provide safe, secure homes for children and young people who need to be away from their own family for a while. Fostering ensures we can make a positive difference to any vulnerable child’s life, and provide homes for children facing a period of uncertainty.
We believe that the presence of a supportive, encouraging and approving adult can greatly enhance a child’s self-esteem and help them to grow into confident and well adjusted adults.
Across the UK there is a shortage of 10,000 foster carers needed to meet the needs of thousands of children across the country. We are currently looking for foster carers to join our team with a desire to learn and develop their skills. If you are looking for a new challenge, have a good sense of humour, resilience, patience, kindness and time and space to give to a child, we would love to hear from you.
We hold an information evening every three months in Worthing where you can come and meet some of our carers, and find out more about what fostering with asphaleia means. The next three events are taking place on:
- 7th December 2011
- 7th March 2012
- 6th June 2012
Please let us know if you would like to come to one of these evenings. As well as hearing about some of the young people we have fostered and meeting some of our current carers you will also hear about the financial benefits of becoming a foster carer and the positives that it could bring to your life.
Please give us a call on 01903 522966 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like specific information. You can also find out more general information and enquire about the work of asphaleia at www.asphaleia.co.uk.
